What makes an interesting blog?

I've been reading number blogs, and ppl r just writing about everything out there, and most of them have less than 10 followers. I came across few  interesting ones and they had less than 5 followers, so is writing a blog about self fulfillment or trying to share ur views with the world. If you trying to share ur views with the world why do you even bother coz no1 seems to b interested...... i read this guy's blog were he has been posting a picture a and now he's sulking coz no one has donated a dime.... why didnt he just sell his pitures... So tell me what makes an interesting blog........

  1. You're asking a deep question. The question you're asking is basically, why create art? Why should a musician write a song? Is it just to make money? Why should a painter paint a painting? Is it just to make money? I think for an artist, whether musician, writer, or painter, the true reward is the creation of the art itself. If the only motive is to make money than the art is not as pure in my perspective since it was created with a mind to please other people and was not a reflection of your soul. I'm going to stop here because this is basically already getting into deep water. Next you have to start asking, "Why do humans have a desire to create unless they themselves were created?" or "Why does art even have meaning and what gives it meaning to begin with?" I think the answers to these questions really get to the heart of what you're asking...how can the person with less 5 followers keep writing...keep creating?

  2. So Pat what u saying is take a blog as ur own personal journal, write what makes you happy? If that's the case why not just write in a handbook, the main reason u write in the blog is to share what u think with other ppl, and the moment you do that then their response is more important to u.............. or maybe some ppl dont really care about feedback from other they only writing in blogs to share with any1 who might care to read thier blogs?

  3. Clearly the idea of a blog is that others can read it. But like I said before, the idea of a paintings, novels, sculptures, and every type of art is that others can see it and talk about it. Yes, you're right...I am saying take a blog as your own personal journal. But not JUST that. It's a personal journal that you are letting others read. You get to set the terms as your are already finding. You get to decide how personal it gets and it's up to you to be as veiled or unveiled as you like. I have mine linked on my facebook and lot of my more personal and profound posts I send out as Bcc emails to my close friends since they seem more likely to read it and email back than going to my blog site. Still, the idea for me is that people are able to go on my facebook who may not even know me that well and besides looking at my interests and favorites listed there, they are able to click on my blog and read something more personal...
